Haunted Hike: 10/18 at Fountain Pond. If You Dare.

Oct 1, 2019 | News

The annual “Haunting in the Hills” haunted hike, inspired by horrifying Hollywood films, takes place Friday, Oct. 18, 6:30-9:00 p.m. at Fountain Pond State Park.

Several departure groups will venture into the hills if they dare during the evening, though they may not return.

Community Health Programs sponsors the event again this year, in partnership with the state Department of Conservation and Recreation.

Hikers will gather at the Fountain Pond trailhead at CHP main campus, at 444 Stockbridge Road, at 6:30 p.m., and there will several expeditions until 9 p.m. Buses will return surviving hikers to the CHP campus.

Those brave enough to join are asked to pay a $5 donation and wear closed-toe shoes.

This year’s sponsors include Finnerty & Stevens Funeral Home and Czeluzniak Funeral Home. Proceeds benefit CHP Family Services programs.
