Strong families make strong communities!

Family Services opened in Adams in early 2024, to expand bring CHP family support services to Northern Berkshire. As we ramp up our office in Adams, we are mainly offering appointment and phone-based assistance. We also offer our free, twice-monthly Food for All food distribution program. Our office at 19 Depot Street is open during Food for All hours.

Since the 1970s, Berkshire County families have relied on CHP Family Services in Southern Berkshire for a wide range of family/parent support and education, food and nutrition help and more. Now, we CHP Family Services has a Northern Berkshire location at 19 Depot Street in Adams. Our services are free and open to all.

Our Adams office can assist individuals and families throughout the area, including Dalton, Becket, and neighboring hill towns. Our services will grow in the months ahead.

How We Help

Food for All: A twice-monthly free fresh-food distribution for CHP clients and visitors. Drop in on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month from 1-2:30 p.m.
Free kids clothing exchange
Free diapers
Medical and dental referrals
Help with SNAP referrals
Help with insurance enrollment and assistance
Referrals for housing, utility bills, and other help.
