Community Health Programs Inc. (CHPBerkshires) of Berkshire County is requesting construction bids from general contractors for the tenant build-out of approximately 1,164 SF Dental Suite to be located on the first floor at 19 Depot Street Adams, MA.

Requests for contractor bids may be obtained by contacting the architect’s office of Architectural Insights, Inc., located at 3 Converse St., Suite 201, in Palmer, MA, 01069. The phone number is (413) 283-2553.

Plans and Specifications will be made available after 1:00 PM on Wednesday, April 26, 2023. Plans and Specifications are available electronically and can be sent via e-mail by contracting the architect’s office by phone at (413) 283-2553 extension 2 or by emailing the project architect at [email protected].

All printing of PDF sets shall be the responsibility of the building parties. Should a general contractor or sub-contractor need to be obtained a hard copy set of drawings; they shall make the request in advance and pick it up in person or delivered by mail with a refundable plan deposit for $100 in the form of cash, personal or business check made payable to Community Health Programs. The deposit should be returned upon the return of the bid documents in good condition without markings or missing pages. The cost of mailing the package to any requesting party shall be reimbursed to the architect’s office.

E-mail submissions are preferred and should be sent to [email protected]. If hard copy bids are submitted, they must be sealed, and both hard copy and email submissions shall be submitted no later than 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 24, 2023.

Hard copy sealed bids can be sent to the offices of Community Health Programs of Berkshire County located at 444 Stockbridge Road, Great Barrington, MA. All hard copy bids shall be clearly marked “CHP – Dental Suite, 19 Depot St Adams, MA—General Bid” and made to the attention of Rachel Rose.

An in-person, on-site, pre-bid conference for all interested contractors to review the project scope and review the physical space will be held on Tuesday, May 2, at 10:30 AM at 19 Depot Street, Adams, MA. Parking is available on the side of the building, but the entry for the pre-bid conference and the walk-through will begin at the front door entry.

This project does not require DCAM-certified contractors; however, no contractor that is debarred within the state of Massachusetts will be eligible or allowed to work on the project.

This project will require the use of prevailing wages, federal and or state, whichever is greater and certified payrolls will be reviewed for compliance during the project.

Filed sub-bids are not required for this project.

Payment and Performance Bonds will be required by the selected General Contractor for 100% of the submitted bid amount.

The use of Minority or Women Owned businesses is encouraged, and every attempt shall be made to encourage these entities either as a general contractor or subcontractor.

Community Health Programs of Berkshire County reserves the right to reject or accept any or all bids, whole or in part, for the best interest of the project at CHP.
