Meet the doctors, nurses, and care providers making a difference every day, one patient at a time.
Featuring: Michelle Bedard, DNP
“My journey into the medical field began with my own birth—I arrived early into the world as a premature infant,” shares Michelle, known fondly by many of her patients as ‘Mimi.’ “From that vulnerable start, I developed a deep curiosity and appreciation for medicine, which sparked a lifelong interest in healthcare. Even as a child, I felt drawn to nursing, inspired by a desire to care for others and support them during their most challenging moments.”
At times, Michelle doubted whether she could succeed in such a demanding profession. Living with a learning disability made the path to her dream difficult. “But my strong sense of purpose— and my naturally nurturing spirit—kept me moving forward.” Becoming a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) wasn’t easy; it required incredible determination, resilience, and many late nights of studying. Throughout her journey, she was uplifted by the unwavering support of her teachers, family, and friends. Their encouragement helped her push through the toughest moments, and earning her DNP became a symbol not only of academic achievement but of personal strength.

For me, this work is more than a job—it’s a way to give back and make a real difference in the lives of those who need it most.”
“I remain committed to CHP because I love my patients, I respect my colleagues, and I believe in the quality of care we deliver together. Being part of the CHP family allows me to live my calling every day— supporting, healing, and serving others with compassion.”
