CHP Family Services will expand its family playgroups to Construct’s Pinewoods residential community in Stockbridge, beginnng in February.
On Wednesdays starting Feb. 7, 10-11:30 a.m., the Pinewoods community room will host a playgroup offering creativity, literacy, socializatoin and STEM development, with activities from cooking, to outdoor play. Playgroups are open to Pinewoods families and any others in the nearby community; the group will be led by local educator and CHP playgroup leader Sue Ebitz.
Also at Pinewoods, on the second and fourth Fridays of each month, starting Feb. 9, 3:30-4:30 p.m. Stockbridge Youth Librarian Jenney Maloy will host a pop-up library and story time at the community room. Pinewoods children in pre-school through middle school can sign up for library cards, check out books and read with “Miss Jenney,” parents and each other.
