CHP’s new family nurse practitioner (FNP) residency program is breaking new ground in the field of advanced nursing practice.
About half of CHP’s clinicians throughout Berkshire County are nurse practitioners who are playing a growing role in primary care in the U.S. At CHP, two recently graduated family nurse practitioners spend a year working with a more experienced FNP, who mentors them toward greater autonomy and more complex patient care.
