Andie Stone, MSN, RDN, LDN
Andie Stone is a nutritionist who works with children at CHP Berkshire Pediatrics, and she also sees CHP patients of all ages via telehealth. She earned her M.S. in clinical nutrition from New York University and completed her bachelor's degree in nutritional science at Springfield College. Andie completed her dietetic internship through Nuvance Health at Danbury Hospital, where she provided medical nutrition therapy and education to patients of all ages and backgrounds in clinical and community settings. Andie is a Health at Every Size (HAES)® aligned clinician and practices from a weight-inclusive approach.

Ann T. Hummel, FNP-C
Ms. Hummel is a family nurse practitioner at CHP Lee Family Practice, where she cares for patients age 3 through adulthood. She received her undergraduate nursing degree from Russell Sage College and went on to earn a Master of Public Administration as well as a second Master of Science in Nursing. She also served as Emergency Services Director for the Albany Fire Department. She has more than 25 years of critical care, emergency and transport nursing.

Barbara Snyder, MD
Dr. Barbara Snyder is a pediatrician at CHP Great Barrington Health Center, and she sees patients ages 3 through 25. She was chief of adolescent medicine at the Robert Wood Johnson Medical School in New Jersey from 1990-2015. Snyder, who also holds a master’s degree in social work from Columbia University, is a Fellow with the American Academy of Pediatrics and is chair of its executive committee on Adolescent Health, among other professional affiliations. She has worked at several academic medical centers, as well as in the U.S. Air Force in Europe. Her community work includes past board memberships for organizations focused on eating disorders, sexuality education, LGBTQ family advocacy, suicide prevention and teen pregnancy.

Betsy Valade, DO
Dr. Valade has been practicing pediatric medicine since 2008 in Berkshire County. She completed her undergraduate degree at Bowdoin College, followed by a medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her pediatric residency at Baystate Medical Center.

Courtney Preston, PNP
Courtney Preston is a pediatric nurse practitioner at CHP Berkshire Pediatrics. She earned her master's degree in nursing from Regis College and received her bachelor of nursing degree from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. She earned her associate degree in nursing from Springfield Technical Community College. Ms. Preston has worked as a registered nurse at Cooley Dickinson Hospital in Northampton, MA, and as a registered nurse in the labor and delivery department of Mercy Hospital in Springfield. She has completed the neonatal resuscitation program of the American Academy of Pediatrics and has also worked as a volunteer in the neonatal intensive care unit at Baystate Medical Center.

Dawn Kohanski, FNP
Dawn Kohanski is a family nurse practitioner at CHP North Adams Family Medicine, caring for children and adults of all ages. She completed her family nurse practitioner education at the State University of New York Institute of Technology and earned her master of science in nursing and health care administration from the University of Phoenix. She earned her bachelor of science in nursing also at SUNY Institute of Technology. Most recently, she was a hospitalist practitioner at Berkshire Medical Center, where she coordinated adult acute care in the hospital setting. She also worked as a family nurse practitioner with Columbia Memorial Health in Cairo, N.Y. During the early months of Covid-19 in 2020, Kohanski also worked as a temporary ICU nurse practitioner at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. She is certified in basic life support, advanced cardiac life support, pediatric advanced life support, trauma nursing, pediatric emergency nursing, stroke care, infection control, and other areas of care. Kohanski is a member of the Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She resides in Williamstown.

Gary Shalan, MD, FAAP
Dr. Shalan has been providing comprehensive care to children in Berkshire County for more than two decades. He received his B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College and earned his medical degree at the University of Chicago. He completed his internship and residency at the Rhode Island Hospital/Brown University general pediatrics program. He is a longstanding fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Jacqueline Jones, MD, FAAP
Dr. Jones, who has been practicing pediatric medicine since 2003, graduated from Williams College and Albany Medical College. She completed her pediatric residency at Albany Medical Center.

Janell Hostetler, MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC
Janell Hostetler, MSN, ARNP, FNP-BC is a family nurse practitioner at CHP Lee Family Practice, caring for patients of all ages. Her clinical focus includes: adult/pediatric and LGBTQIA+ care, wellness, prevention, and mindfulness. She is certified in pediatric advanced life support and certified basic life support. She is bilingual in English and Spanish and is committed to personalized and compassionate patient care. She received a B.S. in nursing and a masters in nursing from Chamberlain University in Illinois. She is board-certified in Family Health by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC).

Jeremy Stoepker, MD
Dr. Jeremy Stoepker is a family practice physician at CHP Lee Family Practice, caring for patients of all ages. He graduated from Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, DC, then completed his residency training at Columbia Presbyterian in New York City. He received an award in “Patient Centered Care” and was also ranked one of New York City's top doctors for LGBTQ health. His interests/strengths are in LGBTQ health, Alternative/Complementary medicine, and holistic care of individuals and whole families. Keturah Baker, MD
Keturah Baker, M.D., practices pediatric medicine at Berkshire Pediatrics in Pittsfield. She is a 2017 graduate of St. George's University School of Medicine, and earned her undergraduate degree in molecular biology from the University of California at Berkeley. She completed her pediatric residency at Marshfield Clinic in Wisconsin, where she earned distinction as Resident of the Year. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics, and resides in the Berkshires.

Kimberly Loring, PMHNP-BC
Kimberly Loring is a psychiatric nurse practitioner at CHP Berkshire Pediatrics in Pittsfield. She earned her master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Northeastern University in Boston, and she holds another master’s degree in education from Cambridge College in Boston; she earned her bachelor of science in nursing at Northeastern. At CHP Loring works with pediatric primary care clinicians and behavioral health team members caring for children in need of mental health support.

Lara Setti, MD, MPH, FAAFP
Dr. Setti is a family medicine physician and civil surgeon at CHP Great Barrington Health Center. She earned her B.A. in human development and social relations at Earlham College in Richmond, IN, and then earned her medical degree at the School of Medicine, University of North Carolina Chapel Hill. She then attended Harvard University, where she earned her M.S. in public health, with a focus on international public health. Dr. Setti completed her family medicine internship and fellowship at Ventura County Medical Center in California, and in 2003, served as chief resident there. For her work at CHP Dr. Setti has been recognized at the Community Clinician of the Year by the Berkshire District Medical Society, a division of the Massachusetts Medical Society.

Laura Gariepy, FNP
Laura Gariepy, family nurse practitioner, provides primary care to people of all ages at CHP Great Barrington Health Center. After earning her undergraduate degree from George Washington University, she earned her M.S. in nursing at Simmons College School of Nursing and Health Sciences in Boston. She worked as a nurse at Lee Family Practice prior to joining the Community Health Center in Great Barrington. Ms. Gariepy’s clinical interests include preventative care and wellness, as well as adolescent and women’s health. Ms. Gariepy also co-leads CHP's 'Beyond Delivery' postpartum support group for new bothers and their babies.

Laura Need, MD
A graduate of Harvard Medical School and Wellesley College, Dr. Need completed her pediatric medicine internship and residency at Massachusetts General Hospital, and she completed a clinical fellowship in pediatric cardiology at Boston Children’s Hospital. Her practice at Berkshire Pediatrics focuses on general pediatric medicine, and she has a special interest in newborn medicine and pediatric cardiology. Most recently, she practiced in the Boston area, and has been on staff at Mount Auburn Hospital. She has also held hospital appointments at Cambridge Health Alliance in Cambridge, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Children’s Hospital in Boston. She has also worked at Emerson Hospital in Concord, MIT Medical Services and St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Boston.

Melanie Levitan, MD
Dr. Levitan is a family medicine physician at CHP Lee Family Practice. She has been caring for children and adults in Berkshire County for more than three decades. After receiving her undergraduate degree from the University at Albany, she earned her M.D. from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. She completed her family practice residency at St. Clare’s Hospital in Schenectady, N.Y. Dr. Levitan has studied complementary medicine including nutrition, stress management techniques and homeopathy, and she offers these modalities to her patients.

Stephanie Taylor, PNP
Stephanie Taylor, pediatric nurse practitioner, provides primary pediatric care to children, teens and young adults up to age 22. After receiving her B.A. from Smith College, she earned her M.S. in nursing from Yale University School of Nursing. She received clinical training at the Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, Conn., in the Pediatric Primary Care Center and post-partum units. Ms. Taylor’s extensive experience includes rural health and community outreach.

Stephen Alsdorf, MD
Dr. Stephen Alsdorf is a family practice physician at CHP Great Barrington Health Center, caring for patients age 3 years through adult ages. He is a graduate of UMass Medical School, and he completed his internship and residency at Boston University Family Medicine Program, Boston Medical Center and Codman Square Health Center. Dr. Alsdorf is a member of the Massachusetts Academy of Family Physicians and a member of the Medical Executive Committee of Berkshire Medical Center, where he is also on staff. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians.

Susan Ray-Lamond, MD
Dr. Susan Ray-Lamond is a pediatrician with CHP Berkshire Pediatrics. A graduate of Southern Illinois University, she completed her residency at the University of Virginia. She worked in pediatric practices in the Pioneer Valley of Massachusetts from 1998 to 2021, and previously in Wilmington, N.C. She owned and operated her own practice, Hampshire Pediatrics, in Easthampton from 2003-2021. Dr. Ray-Lamond works with pediatric patients of all ages, and enjoys collaborating with other specialists, including behavioral health practitioners, to provide the most comprehensive care to her patients.

Terrance “TC” Clarke, FNP
Terrance "TC" Clarke is a family nurse practitioner at CHP Lee Family Practice, where he cares for adults of all ages and children over age 2.A graduate of the University of Massachusetts School of Nursing, he has worked previously in an urgent care setting and caring for patients with substance use disorders. He has also worked as a charge nurse in the Massachusetts state prison system, and he also served as a Peace Corps volunteer. A resident of Lenox, he enjoys hiking and helping behind the scenes at local theaters.
