CHP Berkshire Pediatrics has named a psychiatric nurse practitioner to the Pittsfield practice, reflecting an expansion of CHP’s behavioral health services for children.

Kimberly Loring, PMHNP-BC, has worked most recently as a psychiatric nurse practitioner at the Brien Center for Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services, focusing on children and adults. She completed her internship at Arbour Counseling Services in Lawrence and Haverhill, Mass.

Earlier, as a registered nurse, she worked in educational and hospital settings in the Boston area, focusing on children and adolescents with behavioral health needs.

In her earlier career as a registered nurse, Loring also worked for Berkshire Pediatrics, Fairview Hospital and the Pittsfield Public Schools.

She earned her master’s degree in psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner from Northeastern University in Boston. She also holds another master’s degree in education from Cambridge College in Boston, she earned her bachelor of science degree in nursing at Northeastern.

She participated in a LEND Fellowship program at Boston Children’s Hospital, focusing on children with neurodevelopmental disabilities.

At CHP Berkshire Pediatrics, Loring will collaborate with pediatric primary care clinicians and other behavioral health team members caring for children in need of mental health support.

She is a resident of Pittsfield.
