Dana Gruber, Ph.D., has joined CHP as behavioral health grant lead psychologist.
In her role, she will administer the behavioral health component of CHP’s new integrated treatment program for patients with substance use disorders, mental health conditions, and medical needs. She will also see patients in person and remotely.
Dana holds a doctorate in clinical psychology from Long Island University and she earned her master’s in psychology from New School University, she received a bachelor’s in biopsychology from Oberlin College.
She has recently worked as clinical director for the Center for Motivation and Change-Berkshires, a residential treatment program for patients with substance and alcohol use disorders. Earlier, she was section head of psychology at Ochsner Medical Center’s Department of Psychiatry in New Orleans, where she held several other positions in the psychiatry department, including director of the psychology internship program, lead bariatric psychologist, and program director for the intensive outpatient program for addiction and co-occurring disorders. She also previously worked for a VA hospital as a staff psychologist.
Dana is affiliated with CHP Neighborhood Health Center in Pittsfield. She resides in Great Barrington with her family.
