CHP staff, patients, and friends are invited to participate in the 5K “Fitness in Recovery” run and other events supporting National Recovery Month.
To recognize National Recovery Month, the Berkshire Overdose Addiction Prevention Collaborative (BOAPC) presents several events in September to raise awareness and show support for addiction prevention and recovery. CHP staff, patients and friends are encouraged to attend one more events. Among the events is a 5K “Fitness in Recovery” run in Pittsfield, and CHP runners are invited to participate.
National Recovery Month is a national observance to educate families that substance use treatment and mental health services can enable those with a mental and/or substance use disorder to live a healthy and rewarding life. Recovery Month celebrates the gains made by those in recovery, just as we celebrate health improvements made by those who are managing other health conditions.
