CHP and the Trustees of the Reservation announce the Spring Nature Playgroup at Naumkeag:

Stockbridge, Mass. (April 14, 2016)

At the end of this month, the popular NATURE PLAYGROUP will begin again after a long winter sleep. This program, collaboration between Community Health Programs and the Trustees of the Reservation, was a huge success in the Fall months, when families hiked the terrain at Monument Mountain. Our Spring the program will be held at Naumkeag, and will feature exploration of the fields, streams and gardens on the historic grounds. The Nature Playgroup, created by Carrieanne Petrik-Huff Trustees Engagement Manager and Kim Waterman, CHP Education Programs Coordinator, initially ran as a pilot program. The group was a huge success, and demand was high for the program to return after the winter. Thanks to the generosity of Sharie Schroepfer of Sheffield, this became possible. Mrs. Schroepfer has a grandchild whom she brings to many of the CHP programs; she and her family are strong supporters of CHP Family Services. Her donation will allow our community to enjoy eight weeks of Nature Playgroups at Naumkeag this Spring. Thank you, Sharie!
