Dental Center complements CHP Neighborhood Health Center with Pittsfield expansion

The former BMC Dental Clinic at 510 North St. is now a Community Health Programs practice, as of Oct. 1. The practice is known now as CHP Neighborhood Dental Center, and will continue providing oral health services there with the same staff and rotation of BMC dental residents.

CHP also operates CHP Dental in Great Barrington as well, which sees 2,000 patients per year in 6,000 patient visits. The Pittsfield practice, serving adults and children, is projected to have 2,500 patients and 7,500 patient visits annually in the coming year. Three additional exam rooms are being added there to accommodate anticipated growth.

The CHP dental affiliation will also allow for easier sharing of medical records and improve care coordination for those patients who use both the dental practice and CHP Neighborhood Health Center, in the same location.

“Medical health and dental health are closely related, so this new affiliation allows CHP to provide better integration of care to patients of both practices,” said Lamm.

The practice accepts all patients, regardless of insurance status. is open 9 a.m.– 4 p.m. daily. The office can be reached at 413-447-2781.
